About 60 people yesterday helped us celebrate Thanksgiving. The food was great, the wether was just about perfect and the fiesta was one to remember. Click the photo above to see a slideshow of the day.

Gallery Opening Slideshow
November 2, 2008Click here to see a slideshow of the gallery opening. In the afternoon before the opening, my mother-in-law Adela came by to bless the gallery. The house belongs to her and was once her father’s house. She hadn’t seen the house in the last month of the restoration and she was very impressed. She did a very nice ceremony, passing through the patio and all of the galleries and the back garden, blessing the house with sprigs of rosemary dipped in water.
The opening itself was a big success, with hundreds of people showing up. The photos in the slideshow are mostly from the beginning and end of the night when there were less people; there were just too many people to attend to; we didn’t have time for picture taking
Inaugural Opening
November 2, 2008Last night we had the opening of Federico, Theo and my shows and the grand opening of the gallery. It was a huge success. There were hundreds of people there last night. I was so busy answering questions about my photos that I did not have time to take many photos (I’ll be uploading a gallery of photos later). Everyone loved the space; it looked fantastic as you can see in the photo above. We accomplished what we wanted to, which was to show what a great space we have created for art in San Cristóbal. Now the hard work starts; finding artists, and finding buyers.
